News & Events for 2008 Back

News:

January 20, 2008: We are thrilled to have a new high school graduate. Kristi finished her Senior year in December and has already begun classes at WKU.   We're very proud of her and were glad to have a small reception for her after the Sunday Evening services.   Join us in congratulating Kristi on her accomplishments.   We pray the God will continue to bless you!

February 28, 2008: We did something we rarely do last night, we canceled our Wednesday Evening Service.   The roads were pretty icy that morning, schools closed and the temperature wasn't supposed to get over freezing.   As it turned out, we probably could have had service because the roads did get better during the day.   We just didn't want anyone to slip and fall while trying to get to church or leave to go home.   Maybe that will be the last ice we have for a while?

March 23, 2008: Easter Services were especially good this year.   We had an excellent attendance for our Sun Rise Service, at 7:00 am, then we had a much larger attendance for the 11:00 Worship Service.   We had about 12-13 first time visitors so the house was really packed!   As planned, we had an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids after the 11:00 Worship Service.   The air was really cool, but the kids didn't seem to notice it.   We were also treated to the Kids Choir singing for us and then they played the HandBells for us. Thank you Karen Wilson, who was in charge of the 'Hunt' again this year!   We appreciate you taking the time to get that organized.   View the pictures on the picture page. (Thanks Chyrl for the Pictures!) (ps: looks like we had some 'big' kids looking for Eggs too!)

May 27, 2008: Congratulations to all of our students on Awards they received.   We are proud of them and hope they have a wonderful, safe summer.

June 9, 2008: VBS was lots of fun and very entertaining.   Proof of the fun, with pictures, can be found on the Photo Page.   Check back often.

June 14, 2008: HOLIDAY WORLD & SPLASHIN' SAFARI !   Sun, Water and a day for having fun.   Sounds like a recipe for making waves, and I believe they did.   Join us on the picture page for the sights (and SCREAMS) of some of the fun!   (Pictures courtesy of Kevin & Mima)
